Our History
The Columbus Aquatic Team (CATfish) is a seasonal swim team that is a member of the Smallest Aquatic League in Texas (SALT). The team was formed by Buddy & Charlene Anderson in the late 1980s. The team has continued to grow for almost 40 years.
Our Team
All participants are invited to participate in the FUN of our team! As a team member, your swimmer can strive to improve their technique in all four competitive strokes, make new friends, and learn the unity of team experience with the reward of great physical activity.
Swim Team Goals:
- To build a sense of pride in knowing they have done their best, no matter what the outcome.
- To build a strong sense of responsibility and character through self-discipline and hard work.
- To develop team spirit and unity.

A volunteer is a person who is willing to help perform any one of the necessary jobs needed. Your role as a volunteer is important to our sport. You can be actively involved in your child's swimming program and can also be instrumental in strengthening swimming in Columbus . With a positive attitude and a willingness to lend a hand, you will also have a great impact on your child's athletic environment, and love of swimming.
